Thank you Fantastic Sams for sending me a coupon for a $2.00 off any adult haircut. I am sure you are a great place to get a haircut. I see you have two locations in Hickory which are not to far from me. I am sure your stylist are well trained and have experience but I will not be using your coupon. I am bald. Even if I tried to let my hair grow I am sure I will not have enough for you to cut by the time your coupon expires in 3 weeks. I know you offer other services.  I don't know what a eyebrow wax service is but if your sending a coupon for $5.00 off I am sure it is more than I am going to pay to find out. I am not interested in getting what hair I do have colored. I just cannot see that turning out well. I do have a question for you though. From your disclaimer I see that long and thick hair may cost more. Why? I can understand thick hair because that would require more cutting. Long hair on the other hand doesn't unless you are cutting it a little at a time instead of w

The last couple days have been very good for me. Parents with teenagers or who have had teenagers will understand where I am coming from too. I got to "hang out" with my daughter yesterday and today she laid on my bed as we played a game together on our phones. We laughed and talked about silly things. It was a good time. No matter how tired I am or how busy I am I want to take time to make sure she knows dad is always available for her.      Where in the world would I get the crazy idea of trying to make sure I am available to her even when I am busy or when I am tired? My parents of course. I remember when Dad was busy for a few afternoons and we had not gotten to see each other a lot he would wait on the school bus with me. We would pass football or baseball. This wasn't just when I was in elementary school. I r

My brain hurts...

My brain hurts. I don't have a headache but my brain hurts. It happens to all of us at times when we have an informational overload. You know the feeling you get when you have tried to soak up to much knowledge from to many areas in a short time. Your brain starts screaming for you to stop so it can finish sorting through all the information and file it in the right areas. That is where I am at. I need to let my brain sort and file for a few days. After all a sponge can only hold so much water.      Here is what caused my sponge, I mean my brain, to fill to capacity. I have been reading the book, " The Beauty of Intolerance" by Josh and Sean McDowell. It is one of those books you read and sermons begin to flow so lots of note taking there. I went to the "Leading Change in the Church" conference this week. It included four breakout sessions, a Q & A period and two sessions with the key note speaker, Thom S. Rainer. Rainer is one of my favorite authors
